Expectation management from NDP on French TV, their communications director say they expect 4 to 6 seats and then they would delighted to reach 8.

How the hell are the Tories up in Glace Bay.

May be related to candidate choice. PC ran a teacher/firefighter/food back president.

Also, being in Cabinet can be a poisoned chalice.

The PC candidate is running away in Queens-Shelburne, which was an NDP seat.

Tradionnally PC, NDP incumbent retiring.

How the hell are the Tories up in Glace Bay.

Cape Breton seems to be a bloodbath for Liberals in general.

PC 4
NDP 2
LIB 1

right now.

Grits SORT OF HOLD Hants-West.

Traditionally a Tory stronghold, Hants-West's incumbent MP Chuck Porter was elected as a Tory in 2013, but crossed the floor to the Liberals in 2014. It stays with Porter.

EDIT: Burrill has also taken the lead in Halifax-Chebucto.

EDIT 2: Victoria-The Lakes and Pictou East both called for the Tories.

EDIT 3: As is Clochester-Musquodoboit Valley.

Victoria--The Lakes is a gain, for the record. The wife of the federal MP is defeated.

Any reason why the Tories have the most called seats so far?

Some of their incumbents are racking enormous majorities. Hence their popular vote lead, too.

Despite looking good for the Tories early on, Bedford is held for the Grits.

EDIT: As is Annapolis (the Premier's seat) and Clare-Digby.

Preston-Dartmouth, too.

Automatic recount is the lead is below 10 votes.

Candidates can also ask one, against a 100$ deposit.

It seems every riding still has the advanced poll out.  In P.E.I the Liberals gained a few seats when the advanced polls came in, so if this is the same in Nova Scotia, the Liberals would likely end up with a narrow majority.

Elections NS says those numbers should be out in the next 35 minutes.

Nobody stuffs the ballot box like Liberals stuff the ballot box. Cheesy (Just kidding, probably)

Well, apparently, absentee boxes can have 3500 votes.

I think the Liberals have a good chance to win where they're down by only eight, Cole Harbour-Eastern Passage, where they're down by around 100, Cape Breton-Richmond where they're down by 13, and Chester-St. Margaret where they're only down by 46. Since absentee is leaning Liberal, those all may be red by the time every vote is counted.

Cape Breton-Richmond PC GAIN by 20 votes.

Major upset. Liberal incumbent was in Assembly since 1998.

Liberals up to 27. I think a call will come soon.

I think they'll wait for 26 Liberals elected.
Liberals took lead in Waverley-Fall River-Beaver Bank, but 2 polls left, can change again.
