No for me as I am already not planning to vote for him, and nothing in his tax returns can change that.

Don't vote yes unless it would actually change your likelihood of voting for Trump in 2020.

If what we would find there was positive, he'd have already released them. So probably make me like him even less.

No, as I couldn't care less about his tax returns.

You don't get points for doing something you should have already done before the election, particularly when you're a man with oodles of business dealings that have presented enormous conflicts of interest.

I think this will probably be a "baby step" in him being more transparent about himself, but it will still take a lot more for me to actually start supporting him.

This.

That said, given how far he's willing to go not to release 'em, I can imagine there's lots of crooked stuff in there that would only make me think even less.

Donald Trump could save me from a burning building, hook me up with Emma Watson, and give me a million dollars cash and I'd still hate him. Nothing would increase my opinion of him. Nothing.

If options 2 or 3 are still on the table Donald, I am willing to flip flop.

Yeah, this. I never cared about his tax returns, but now that he's been elected it's an especially irrelevant issue. The only thing that would change my opinion of him is the quality of his policies.

This is exactly why I made this poll. I wanted to demonstrate that nobody that's complaining about him releasing his tax returns would have voted for him anyway, nor would they consider doing so in 2020 were he to release those returns before then, so why should he release them?

I'll give you a preview of his returns - he's paid more in taxes in one year than every atlas forum member combined will make in 2017.  Kthx.

No, but thats not the point.  It's not about what will make me happy, it's about the integrityy of the office.

The way I see it, people's opinion on Trump have largely settled. You have a large bloc of people who love him and couldn't care less about his flaws, and on the other hand you have people with an undying hatred for him and will do anything in their power to screw over his Presidency- there isn't really much of a middle ground here. Regardless of whether or not his tax returns are released, the Trump lovers will continue to love him and the Trump haters will continue to hate on him.
