For the PC police I will happily rephrase it: to what extent would one say that large swathes of Valls' constituency can be considered socio-economically underprivileged sensitive urban zones?
There are rather poor zones in Évry and especially Corbeil. But Corbeil had been transformed into Dassault land, even if there was still a PCF tradition there. Lisses, Bondoufle and Villabé are much more suburbia.
Thank you.
And sorry I snapped at you, it was a case of "I can't let a sarcasm-joke-irony-play on words pass" on my behalf.

No offense taken. I sort of expected someone to make that remark already.

88% of the vote counted.

Vote share     Seats won      Implied vote share in
                                                               contested districts
LREM+        48.71%           268                    54.2%
LR+             27.21%           117                    49.2%
PS+               7.72%            41                     50.3%
FI+                5.29%            16                     38.4%
FN+               9.65%             9                      46.1%

More and more urban votes coming in and more LREM-FI seats being counted so the vote share of both will be going up.  LREM getting the large bulk of new seats counted.  The results converging toward Ipsos projection.
What's the 9th seat for FN?

I counted the Extreme Right 1 seat as part of FN+.  I think that seat is FN splinter party anyway.

LR+ bloc has 123 seats already.  So it is poised to exceed all post-first round pre-election and exit poll projections.

92% of the vote counted.

Vote share     Seats won      Implied vote share in
                                                               contested districts
LREM+        48.91%           287                    54.4%
LR+             27.00%           125                    48.8%
PS+               7.69%            42                     50.1%
FI+                5.68%            16                     41.2%
FN+               9.35%             9                      44.6%

More and more urban votes coming in and more LREM-FI seats being counted so the vote share of both will be going up.  LREM getting the large bulk of new seats counted since they are taking all the LREM-FI seats I think.

There's a nice red territory just north of Paris with 92-01 and 93-01, 02, 04 and 06 all being contiguous. Obono seems to have won 75-17 which could also be touching.

Turnout only 29.5% in Seine-Saint-Denis 2. Blancs and nuls close to 10% almost everywhere. Means that the candidate elected in this district was backed by what, 13% of the electorate? And this is the runoff...

So the 1993 Center-Right mega-majority record is safe.

New Ipsos projection

LREM/MoDem now at 361 seats.

Elabe is also at 355-365 seats for LREM (in their case, I believe that it's the first time that a media projection in France is that wrong).

I think LREM-MoDem most likely will get around 345-350 seats.

Yes !!

We have reports than he actually lost but than the mayorship of Corbeil-Essonne tampered with results.

Why in the world would Dassault care about saving Valls' ass?

Since France is still a democratic and civilized country, I doubt something like that would happen.

There was a recount, which found around 150 votes for Valls.

FI candidate, or anyone from its campaign, were not allowed to witness the recount, in violation of electoral laws (which allow everyone to attend a count).

Well, Dassault rigged his own (or his buddy's after he was convicted) election before, so I wouldn't put that past him, but I still fail to see why he'd bother.

Valls's victory is rather dissapointing

I can't add much since my knowledge of France is limited - but the performance of the (wider) left in this election more broadly disappoints me (even though they've overperformed): and I dislike heavily places that use numbered seats in a single member district election since it makes working out was results mean harder
