On this, the eve of Spark's invasion of Mato Grosso, this is a question I'm curious about. Define relationship however you feel like.

Precisely 1 for me.

Two, not counting a bout of undefined weirdness in my sophomore year of high school.

Nothing serious.  One if you count my "pre-relationship" with this long-distance girl who ended up cucking me before it was supposed to be official.  I'm more content with living single, though.

If I am in a long distance polyamorous relationship with two separate people, does it count as two?

2. Neither were Mormon. Both older than me.

1 not really serious, but definitely a bit more than mere friends. It was pretty much High School weirdness.

1 really serious [as in nearly proposed to her serious]. Actually came from TV Tropes of all places, lasted 1.5 years on long-distance, the fall out of the whole thing is partially why I ended up joining here. Never been so heartbroken before or since.

Counting just friends?

1.

Not counting friends outside the family?

4

The first when I was 12 and dated a 14 yo girl. My second one was an ldr with a Romanian woman who lived in Germany and was 4 years older than me (I was 18). The next when I was 19 and dated a girl from work for a couple months, but nothing serious. And now my current girlfriend of almost 2 years, whom I love and adore.

Over 20, but at least 15 didn't realize that they were in a relationship with me. Wink

Okay, that's enough pretending to be creepy for one post. I've been in 4 serious relationships, the longest one lasted about two years, and two of them were at least partially long distance.

As far as long term/serious, probably about 4.

I don't know how many if we are counting the silly middle school/high school "relationships" that last a few months.

I hope you're not counting the ones where you didn't have sex.

I've had two; one for 5 years and one for 6 and counting. When I wasn't in a relationship I had sex with over 80 guys so I'm a man of extremes Tongue

Since it's something that I constantly struggle with these days, I must say it's very impressive and respectable that you remain faithful in your serious relationships even though your sexual proclivities are otherwise so casual.

I have two (former?) coworkers who pretend they're married to me, if that counts. One's from a Protestant family, though, so it obviously wouldn't work out.

2:

One (not terribly serious) in 7th grade with a brief reprisal in 10th.

The next I've been in since junior year of high school (so about 5.5 years) and I'm planning to propose later this spring.

Going to go with 3:

1) Dated a girl (rather seriously for the age) in high school for like 5 months, spanning the whole summer
2) Had had a thing with a girl for a while on and off in high school and then finally dated her senior year from like December until we crashed and burned, per usual, after prom (so May) of my senior year
3) Dated a girl from June of my senior summer (2010) until the beginning of my senior year of college (September 2013), so about 3.5 years

Been making a candid effort to not rush anything after that fiasco, LOL.

I'm a serial relationship person, while I'm currently single I've probably had dozens upon dozens fairly serious relationships.

Thank you Smiley

We both acknowledge other guys if we find them attractive and we share that (so much so I can guess his type and vice versa) we're not prissy about having 'alone time'.
