Quite likely to be a change within the not-too-distant future so why not a poll?

Much criticism of May has been based around her lack of charisma and willingness to engage. On that basis Boris Johnson seems the logical choice, although Davis could work too. Rudd doesn't seem to be anymore likeable than May although she is a somewhat better media performer. However, the very real risk of her suffering a John Howard moment in a general election might dent her chances.

Patel or Fox would be fun...

Hammond is dull but in a way that isn't actively damaging a la May. His less Eurosceptic stance would hurt him though.

Amber Rudd because she's blonde Theresa May.

I'd go for Johson. He seems pretty liberal (continental European style) except for his support for Brexit which only was fueled by personal ambition anyway.

Any of these except Rudd would be acceptable. Actually they all (except Rudd) would be absolutely amazing. But Fox and Patel are borderline unelectable.

Not the one I'd align with most ideologically but I think Philip Hammond would make the best Prime Minister of the lot. My favourite is Liam Fox but unfortunately he's probably unelectable. Boris Johnson would be a good choice and would most likely be an election winner but I'm not sure how conviction based his politics are.

Boris Johnson has been made toxic by the referendum- all the polling shows his ratings have plummeted since last summer (there's a reason a lot of MP's defected from his campaign last summer, and why he quit) He's a busted flush.

Next leader will be Phillip Hammond; who'll most likely be leader until 2019/2020 at which point one of the 2010/2015 generation will take over e.g James Cleverly, Sajid Javid, Dominic Raab, Nicky Morgan. If Ruth Davidson had a seat she'd be PM by now

It's worth noting that the people being discussed for the tory leadership- Davis, Johnson, Hammond have been around for absolute ages.

I voted for Johnson in the poll, but I doubt he goes for it.
