But you do concede May's economics are well to the right of Hillary's?

I would argue to you that Corbyn is twice the threat to liberal democracy than Trump ever has been. Trump spoke for a group of people that were hurting - Corbyn speaks for a group of radicals who wish to overthrow an order, not because of pain, but for the sake of radicalism.

Yeah. I don't do the "Democrats would be extremely right-wing in Europe" thing. Most of the Tories would be Republicans in the US. It's just that I don't want May to take the Tories in her direction. And if the election were really close I'd probably vote for her to keep Corbyn out, but even after the Labour surge she still is ahead by 9-12 points so I can afford a protest vote here.

I don't really agree that Corbyn is a big threat to liberal democracy. He's a nutjob, but the vast majority of Labour MP's disagrees with him and if he wins he won't win a big majority so he'll likely do no damage. And like AA said, the PM of the UK will never be as much as a threat to liberal democracy as the POTUS. And it's not like May is that great with her internet proposal and muh strong and stable.

the prime minister of the non-eu-member UK can never ever be a similar danger to freedom as the prez of the US, even if he is a total nutjob.
Yes, but Corbyn is far more dangerous than Trump. I don't consider Trump a major threat to freedom, liberties, and liberal democracy in general.

-United Kingdom: Brexit Remain
-United States: Presidential Hillary Clinton
-The Netherlands: Legislature VVD
-France: Presidential Fillon/Macron
-United Kingdom: Legislature Conservative party Whatever fringe libertarian party is available
-France: Legislature Les Republicains
-Germany: Legislature Really don't know yet FDP
-Italy: Legislature Democratic Party
-Austria: Legislature ÖVP

Not supporting the Tories after May's shameless rejection of Thatcherism (and her authoritorian internet surveillance proposal also played a role). We need a small Tory majority so Thatcherite backbenchers can block some of her more leftist proposals.

I also decided to endorse the FDP in Germany.

In what bizarro alternate reality are you living? Huh

A world where free markets are more important for right-wingers than bashing foreigners (yeah, it probably is a bizarro alternate reality Sad). And don't underestimate the hatred I feel towards May (I suddenly understand the coal miners...).

I'm weird that way Smiley

During the election, I felt that France needed Marine more than Macron, but I will be willing to change my view in hindsight depending on how Macron does in his first few years.

Voting Tory under May and Le Pen isn't really that incompatible imo, especially since UKIP only got 2% of the vote.
