I believe that the House Ways and Means committee can compel the release of a tax return, yes, and then possibly enter it into public record under the Speech and Debate clause.

Yes, Trump committed obstruction of justice. He publicly admitted as much himself. But that's only a crime when the opposing party holds majority in Congress.

Obama should also have stepped in into Emails-investigation and have talked about Russian interference before the election and probably fire Comey. Trump would done it if he was in the same position. But Obama isn't Trump. That's why we've got strongman Trump.

Impeach Trump now.  His cabinet should meet and declare im incapacitated, 24 style.  We can't have this.  The President needs to govern.

The 25th Amendment actually isn't a great vehicle for staging a coup. Yeah, the Vice President and the cabinet can declare the President incapacitated. But then the President gets to submit a letter to congress stating that no such disability exists. Then if the VP + cabinet contest this, congress has to vote and you need a 2/3 vote in both houses to keep the ousted president out of office, and you'd potentially need to hold that vote again every 21 days for the rest of the term.

Not really, considering Obama made it through his 8 years without being impeached.   We can't say the same for Trump.

Also, there weren't any FBI investigations of Obama's birth certificate.  One obvious reason: HE PUBLISHED IT.  If you believe that the Russia story is just a conspiracy theory, then surely you're for Trump producing some documentary evidence to debunk it -- like his tax returns?

Well, yes, the FBI was not interested in investigating whether Barry was actually qualified to be President, for whatever reason. If they were....such investigations would have began around January 2008 at the latest, and would have carried on at the minimum 3 years.

I doubt it would have taken the FBI 3 years to get a copy of a birth certificate.  And that assumes they decided to ignore all the other evidence that showed he was born in Hawaii that was already out there.

This reinforces my belief that one of the main problems in America today is information bubbles. There is no common ground on issues because we cannot even agree what the issue really is. According to Republicans, the controversy over the Comey firing is due solely to Democratic hypocrisy, the "mainstream media" trying their hardest to find any fault with Trump even if they have make it up, and Democrats making this into a partisan issue so they can continue their absurd witch hunt because they lost the election. All their media outlets are saying is essentially that, while avoiding even addressing the concerns others in the media and Democrats have raised.

Of course, Republicans will contend that it's the left that lives in a media bubble being fed left-wing propaganda by partisan media outlets and a desperate Democratic Party. Republicans have essentially abandoned acceptance of objective fact and that it's discoverable by sources such as PolitiFact, hence their disregard for its scoring of Trump as, basically, a habitual liar during the campaign. Whatever the President, GOP, FOX, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Herman Cain, and (for the craziest among them) Alex Jones say is like the word of God.
