Trump almost never hires the best people. Spicer and Sarah H. Sanders are some of the worst.

Yeah, you think he'd be smart enough to hire people who can actually help him cover up his crimes

Well actually to their credit now they're telling the truth. At least I believe this from this group.

Well there's at least one honest member of the Trump administration.  You all have to give her credit for that, at least.  Tongue

Yes, we fired Comey to bring Russia investigation to its End

Well of course they did.

How is this surprising to you?  Or to anyone?  Seriously, I don't even follow this stuff very closely.  I rarely watch the talking head shows and I mostly post in the off-topic board, but I immediately understood why he dismissed Comey once I heard that he dismissed Comey.  Trump obviously wanted to squelch the Russia thing pretty quickly, and since Comey was pursuing it he need to be canned.

So doesn't that mean that Jeff Sessions directly intervened on the Russian investigation after he recused himself?   Isn't that illegal?   Shouldn't he resign?

I'm just completely baffled how the Trump Administration just gets to get a pass on all this stuff with hardly any negative consequences ("official" consequences)

Sessions was bad news from the beginning.  I'm surprised that the Democrats and the press didn't make a bigger stink about him earlier.  He's far too agenda-driven to be an objectivist AG.

Still, I think he may have covered his ass, at least legally.  We'll see how it plays out.

No. that's isn't what she said is it? She said

"We want this to come to its conclusion, we want it to come to its conclusion with integrity," she said, referring to the FBI's probe into Moscow's interference in last year's election. "And we think that we've actually, by removing Director Comey, taken steps to make that happen."

In other words firing Comey is a step that helps the FBI probe to have integrity. That doesn't mean that was the reason for the firing, its just a benefit.

  "with integrity"

Wink

in·teg·ri·ty   /inˈteɡ rə tē/

noun:
    1.  the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness.
"he is known to be a man of integrity"
synonyms:   honesty, probity, rectitude, honor, good character, principle(s), ethics, morals, righteousness, morality, virtue, decency, fairness, scrupulousness, sincerity, truthfulness, trustworthiness

    2.  the state of being whole and undivided.
"upholding territorial integrity and national sovereignty"
synonyms:   unity, unification, coherence, cohesion, togetherness, solidarity

I think the second sense will apply here.  Close ranks; cast out the traitor.

Notice she said both?   And the first thing she said was that they want the investigation to come to conclusion.

There's also this:

Obstruction of justice is one of the most serious crimes that an elected official can do. This Presidency is unraveling fast.
