Opinion of threads that spontaneously turn into referendums on the Clintons?

I could understand this in the closing weeks of 2016, but even now I still see threads getting derailed by something involving Bill and/or Hillary Clinton. Perhaps it is the norm for bickering about the losing presidential candidate to continue for longer than half a year after the election?

Well it's not that they shouldn't be discussed, but at times there is a tendency for people to bring them up in conversations that aren't even about them, usually via some loose connection (or none at all), which then more times than not fires up an argument in a thread about something completely different.

lean FF, because they have devolved on their own.  I'm not defending such devolution, and I don't encourage it, but whether I like them or not, the fact that they devolve into debating brand-name political dynasties evidence that they were sufficiently flexible in their original wording that the OP should be admired.  Better than those that follow Godwin's Law, anyway.

Hillary Clinton was the best candidate in the presidential race. The only people who hate Hillary are white men who can't handle a woman coming into power. Hillary is the best candidate ever just because she is a woman. She's even better than Obama (no offense to PoC's) because Obama is an inferior man. I supported Hillary over Bernie during the primaries. Why? Because Bernie is a white man. He doesn't deserve to be President. I'm happy that the DNC was biased toward Hillary, because she is the minority. A society that is biased toward the minority is a true democracy.

I think it has to do with the fact that she lost such an important and such an easy election. Especially the fact that her hubris is the prime reason for failure. I also think people just need a horse to kick. I don't really mind it. Her political career is dead and no one's worse or better off for doing it.
