Rand Paul Ends White House Bids; Keeps Doors Open to Libertarian Run
"I think the Republican Party has lost its way," Senator Paul said at a presser after ending his bid for the Presidency. "Republicans are Democrats. We don't stand for anything anymore. We don't fight for bigger government, we increase its size. We don't lower taxes, we either raise them or ignore how high they are. We say we're about freedom, but we continue to chip away at the bill of rights." Paul called the primary process disgusting and said, the country is left with 'awful choices' in November. He did not comment on a possible libertarian run, but said "I will keep all doors open and watch as the process unfolds."

Please oh please let Baker win

Also, could you provide hypothetical polls with Rand Paul as the Libertarian nominee?

In a two-way race between Baker and Trump, Trump would easily win southern states since it's usually difficult for a moderate like Baker to win in southern primaries. So that's a good thing that Sasse remains in the race for now in order to prevent as many Trump southern victories as possible by attracting an important part of the hard core conservative base.

Well, I really doubt someone like Baker could win in 2020, but then again something like a third of registered Republicans actually is pro-choice and some people must be really tired of losing after 12 years so why not Tongue? But it's a great timeline and that is what matters Wink!

Warren/Baldwin for the Democrats, and Baker/Haley for the Republicans please.

Why on earth would Joe Biden agree to that?

I'm supporting Baker in hindsight, but Sasse wouldn't be bad. Trump sort of like I have a feeling he'd win, but let's see what happens!!!!

Maybe in a tied electoral college, Biden could be elected VP by the Senate...but otherwise this ticket is never happening.

Charlie Baker/Condoleezza Rice!

That said, I think Huntsman, as a Trump supporter with foreign policy experience, Mia Love, Mary Fallin, or Joni Ernst would give the best credentials and balance to Baker.

But Ernst is up for re-election in 2020.

Why do you think Condi would help the top of the ticket, I mean she would easily be tied to Iraq and Bush's foreign policy that she would bring the ticket down
