If this did indeed happen in february, doesn't comey have SOME dirt on his face when he said recently there was no pressure?

Absolutely.

Why would Comey have dirt on his face for not disclosing this?

Comey was, at the time, investigating the the President and his campaign along with Michael Flynn for possible Russian collusion. Wouldn't the logical thing for Comey to do be to keep quiet and document the President's attempts to obstruct justice in order to build a case against him?

If Comey notified Congress about this, it would have been leaked immediately and the President would have cut Comey off, hindering the FBI's investigation.

“There has been no effort to impede our investigation to date,” Mr. McCabe said. “Simply put, you cannot stop the men and women of the FBI from doing the right thing.”

It's not known that McCabe was aware of the memos at the time (I assume he would have been), but I agree that his statement raises eyebrows and demands an explanation ASAP.

I know this sounds petty, but I am feeling prety suicidal over all this. Not because I like trump, but because I fear the next 20 years will be nothing but democrat/liberal control due to fallout.

Nothing says non-partisan than bringing down both party's nominees six months apart.

Pence is better for us than Trump. Much better (if not complicit).

1973-1980 was all we got last time something like this happened.

No it won't, and even if Democrats do very well in the next 20 years, Conservatives will still retain a lot of power.

Besides, Nixon didn't destroy the Republican Party. They got the Presidency back in four years.

Dianne Feinstein disagrees with you.

I often disagree with Feinstein, so that doesn't trouble me.

I wouldn't bet money on that. Republicans will recover from this, even if Trump ends up impeached. But the entire political movement that Trump created will essentially be destroyed and the "establishment" will work to ensure they have total control over the direction of the party.

1932-1946 was the closest. Still a long time (14 years).

Pence is better for Republicans, but he's also safer for Americans than Trump. I think the costs of Pence's policy positions (in my opinion as a generally more liberal person) aren't as bad as the continued risk of Trump as the President.

Complicit or better?

Both. He followed Trump like a sheep all the way through. I don't think a Pence presidency will be beneficial to the US, especially due to all the damage he did in Indiana.

Dana Bash now reporting Congressional Rs debating between supporting independent prosecutor or independent commission. Major development.

Wow !

You do realize that there isn't supposed to be a space in between the end of the last word in a sentence and the punctuation, right?

I do, but that is so "old school."
On the internet and even professionally (at work), I usually add a space.
