I know this sounds petty, but I am feeling prety suicidal over all this. Not because I like trump, but because I fear the next 20 years will be nothing but democrat/liberal control due to fallout.

Stop it !
Don't say things like that ("suicidal"). That is a scary thing to say.
Take a break, get off the computer and do something you enjoy, right now.
Don't let politics get-to-you like that.

Corey Lewandowski - aka Trump's less scandalous campaign manager - is atm in the WH

and sorry if this is getting old but since it's blowing my mind....

Americans have become desensitized to Fox News.

Trump's presidency was never going to end well, but it's astonishing how quickly it's all collapsed

well, pence is at least no danger for the nation and everything he does can be reversed by the next president.

Personally I think Pence is a much greater danger--he has the demeanor and temperament to get worse done than Trump, but be low key about it so as not to draw as much opposition, and make his policies seem more benign than they are.

Honestly I'd rather Trump finish his term and have even one day of the alternative.

I kind of agree, but can you imagine Trump as President during a true national crisis? That's too terrifying to even consider. I trust pence to at least carry out the basic functions of Government

We need to get one of those pre- or post-election "how long will he last" polls reposted.

Pence isn't going to have much political capital.

People are really underestimating how long a potential investigation/impeachment proceeding would last. If Trump is removed it will be in early-mid 2018 and by then, not much time left to push through the GOP agenda.

And it's not like he was flying high until this week - he's starting out with an approval rating of 41% before a single post-Classifiedgate, post-Comeynotesgate poll comes out.

EDIT: Not to mention already being underwater on the impeachment poll.

I'm pretty sure Ivanka will be able to convince her father to resign before any of that happens.

Let's not celebrate prematurely. He still has to sign that resignation letter.

Pence is better for us than Trump. Much better (if not complicit).

I really don't think he is.

Complicit or better?

Both. He followed Trump like a sheep all the way through. I don't think a Pence presidency will be beneficial to the US, especially due to all the damage he did in Indiana.

Did he bankrupt Indiana?

He very much could have with the "religious freedom" bill. There was significant economic damage.

I highly doubt it.

Trump isn't going to go quietly.

I still believe this will take months if not 2019 to bring him down. Let's not celebrate too early…

this has - at least - the potential to open hearings which are going to become really painful.

still can't believe that republicans are going to enrage trump's radical voters.

They won't be able to marshal enough republican votes for impeachment until they are staring down an apocalyptic midterm at a level of Democratic senate gains likely, republican house majority DOA, and democrats getting very close to the unilateral constitutional convention at the state level.

I'm more concerned about the leaks. Very disturbing.

What was your reaction to the Nixon tapes? "God dammit, who leaked the President's private conversations? This person must be investigated! Very disturbing."

Dana Bash now reporting Congressional Rs debating between supporting independent prosecutor or independent commission. Major development.

https://twitter.com/HotlineJosh/status/864638758859288576

what is the difference?

Independent Prosecutor looks into possible violations of the law. Independent commission isn't restricted to only actions that were illegal.

I'm about ready for the 25th to be invoked.

Do you think you have half of the Cabinet, plus two thirds of both houses of Congress?

I don't think they're in 25th territory. Remember which cabinet this is.

Tillerson
Mnuchin
Mattis
Sessions
Zinke
Perdue
Ross
Acosta
Price
Carson
Chao
Perry
DeVos
Shulkin
Kelly

Find a group of half of those who would be willing to cross Trump on this.
