I think it's even more hilarious that basically half of under-30 GOPs as of a little over a year ago ended up leaving (temporarily or otherwise).

Yeah, but will they actually vote?

Maybe not all yet, but when they get older, sure. This is how it has always worked for generations so far. Youth turnout has risen and fallen somewhat but it has always been lower than older voters, often by a lot. The older people get, the more likely they are to vote.

In fact, over the past 3 presidential elections, youth turnout has actually been pretty decent, all things considered.

Generally speaking, millennial turnout has been higher than Gen Xers at the same age.

Why did hillary do worse with this group than barack obama? Furthermore, this is probably concentrated in certain states and areas, because no doubt trump did better than Romney among young voters in Ohio, Mich, WI, MN, Iowa, PA, etc/
