For primaries, I think I'm a registered Democrat from the 50s till the 90s, then independent and then back to Dem in the 2000s.

Since 1904, the only elections in which I would have voted Republican is 1904. In 1924 I likely would have voted for LaFollette. There were a few other elections in which the Republican candidate would have made a good President (Dewey, Eisenhower) but they were running against even better Democrats, so I would have voted Democratic in every election in the past century except 1904 and 1924.
