If he can deal with high school band members, municipal politics will be a cakewalk.

Speaking as a high school band member, anyone who can handle us is quite capable of handling the nuclear launch codes, much more so the keys to the city.

This might superficially sound hypocritical after I dried it others were reading so much into the Omaha mayoral election, but from the news article link it sounds like the overwhelming if not so itchy the primary was the incumbent's support for Trump. Mind you, the fact the County Democratic party abandon a long time practice of not endorsing in primaries to back the Challenger makes it sound like the income it was more just a renegade Democrat rather than indicative of blue collar dems returning to the fold.

Looking at the population decline in this town, I wonder what on Earth this mayor is going to be able to do to reverse it.

Likely nothing, jobs aren't going to come back, might be worth trying to retrain people to work in renewable energy which could probably create some jobs but overall the town is probably going to keep shrinking.
