I don't complain about Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's too funny. They say its wicked to mock the afflicted but the shear hysteria of TDS sufferers is just too funny not to mock.

Well lets see. There's the Jeff Bezos Blog and the Carlos Slim Blog for a start. And lets not forget the shrill hysteria of CNN and MSNBC.

It's a mild malady at this point.  There does seem to be a tendency to cast even ordinary political events as evidence that Trump is actually Kang.  The malady largely is contained to the internet these days -including this forum- rather than the media or politicians as happened with Obama Derangement Syndrome.

There's more credence to TDS than ODS.  In fact with half the country favoring impeachment I would call it …  mainstream. Majorities of the country think Trump fired Comey over the Russia investigations, for example. Not close majorities, solid ones.

The real derangement (to carry the analog) is however believing the underlying conditions in this country change after any departure by Trump (in my view).

But no there's a lot of credence to the allegations against the President -- enough to investigate and find a clear answer.

From a certain perspective, Trump IS Kang.

He doesn't act like how we expect other human beings to act. To some people that appears to make him a god. To others, he's better defined as a monster.

The reason the professional talking heads are slow to embrace this (although they are getting there) is that the idea that the President doesn't really qualify as human being (lacking empathy, beliefs, a real external world, etc) is so horrifying and terrifying they don't want to acknowledge it as real.

The diference between Glenn Beck and CNN is that Beck is clearly opinion while CNN (by the way, did you all see the hysterical meltdown Kate Bouldoin had?) still pretends to be "news" all the while as their own ombudsmen (that prematurely bald bitch Brian Seltzer) literally attacks conservatives for sharing their opinions on Facebook.

TDS is a real thing, and it is worse than Obama Derangement Syndrome because the peddlers of Obama conspiracy theories weren't serious reporters.

Comparison totally misses the fact that the derangement element - - implying stuff ain't true rather than a product of a fevered imagination - - isn't present with Trump as it was with Obama. People like Sanchez live in a bubble to convince themselves otherwise.

You're not seriously using the "It's not news, it's entertainment!" excuse?

100 cool points for referencing my favorite song. Check out the unreleased acoustic version. It's dark and divine.
