Some time in the early to mid 80s I'd imagine.  Don't remember anything specific.

Either late 80s or early 90s.  I was only a kid, but I had some vague impression of him and Ivana's split being a big tabloid story.

My parents use to watch the Apprentice when I was growing up (I was born in 1996). Honestly he just seemed like your average businessman to me. Nothing special or out of the ordinary.

Those views began to change around 2010/2011 when he started questioning Obama's birth certificate and flirting with the crazed wing of the Republican Party.

Once, I was playing Monopoly, and my dad jokingly compared me to him. This was circa 2009.

I visited the Trump Tower in the late 1980s. I first really remember hearing of him when he divorced Ivana in 1991.

The first time I really remember him was when he would call in on Fox and Friends every Monday before I went to school.

The first time I heard talking about him was when he was contesting Barack Obama's birthplace.

And I knew nothing about him the first time I saw Home Alone 2. I didn't knew he appeared in one scene of this movie.

Probably in the mid-2000s when he was feuding with Rosie O'Donnell and constantly on Howard Stern. My mom listened to Howard a lot and hated Rosie O'Donnell so

True story: I heard about Donald Trump Jr. before Donald Trump, because my parents watched The Apprentice after I went to bed but mocked "Trumpy" at basically all hours

I remember it pretty clearly. I came downstairs from doing homework and my parents were watching the Apprentice. I remember it was a season 2 episode, and one of the contestants was making some racist rant about how a Jewish woman who was eating at some restaurant she was managing for the episode was being too judgmental and ruined her chances at success. I remember being confused as to why she kept pointing out that she was Jewish, since I had no idea what Jewish stereotypes were at the time, so I can say that my first encounter with them was also my first encounter with Donald Trump. I think I was 12, and a friend of mine in middle school showed me a video related to the Console Wars, anyway it was a segment of The Apprentice regarding the Online systems for PS2 and Xbox...Sony got fired.

I remember confusing him with Donald Rumsfeld at one point not long afterwards.

When he began hosting The Apprentice.  My view of him didn't turn negative until he became a Birther.

As a young kid in New York City, I saw "Trump" buildings everywhere, and must've had the man behind them explained at some point.

I grew up in Boynton, which is two towns south of West Palm Beach. Mar-A-Lago is and has been the heart of PBC's social elites, so I've known of Donald Trump as long as I've been able to comprehend what he does. I remember him being involved in a nasty legal fight over Mar-A-Lago's illegal flag (which was YUGE-so YUGE that if it blew off the pole it'd cover multiple cars on A1A), which was settled about a decade ago when he agreed to get a smaller flag and donate his tens of thousands of dollars worth of fines to a veterans charity.

Don't remember exactly.  Sometime in the 1990s.

The first time I thought about him much was when he went on a tirade against Rosie O'Donnell.

Sometime during the 1990s, I suppose. I remember seeing Home Alone 2 with my parents in the movie theater, which must have been sometime in late 1992 or early 1993. So I guess this was the first time I saw the man with my own eyes without realizing who he was at the time.

But it wasn't until the summer of 2016 that I personally took a leak in the Trump Tower's restrooms.

(Weird answer for a weird question. Tongue )

Soon after I came to the US in early 2011. It was the time when the disgraceful birther stuff came up. When I asked a friend who this “Donald Trump” is, he just answered: “a total nutjob”. LOL.

For me, it's the 2000s decade when he hosted The Apprentice.

After the birther debacle in 2011, I sharply turned against him and loathe him ever since.
