Bauman is openly gay FYI. They still elected a minority to be the Chair.

Anyways, I would have preferred Ellis because Bauman is known for being a Grade A dbag.
He's probably very competent, then.

Wait, didn't the Bernie wing take over it a couple months ago?
I thought Berniecrats took over the California Democratic party?

It sounds like they got a majority of the delegates decided at district elections, but that the party officials had some votes too.

And while the Bernie people were supporting Ellis, both of the candidates supported Hillary in the primary.

Ultimately this doesn't mean anything and it's it even worth getting mad at.

Just because you occupy the ascendant position in the party ideological hierarchy doesn't mean that intra-party ideological conflict is meaningless.

As someone who has actually heard Bauman speak and seen up close how people respond to his skills, I can say that he is a good selection to chair the state party because he knows how to organize. These sort of races are decided a lot on qualifications.
