I need to join a gym to build strength (I'm sadly and admittedly pretty weak and want to correct that) and lose weight (cardio) but I am not sure which gym I want to go to, I don't want to become a bodybuilder so I am ok with PF.

Calisthenics at home and hitting the pavement (jogging outside) is what I do. Tongue

The only equipment I have is a pull up bar, tennis shoes, and two dumbells I occasionally use.

Lol I've never seen any of those gyms. I used to go to one that was associated with a hospital, and it was phenomenal. Now I go to LifeTime Fitness, which is closer and cheaper, but man, I just don't like it. It's too crowded with snobby "beautiful" people. They are just so annoying to work out around. I would just recommend going to a quieter gym if possible.

The one from which I am employed at a rather thankless job that pays ridiculously well considering how much actually gets done.

So yeah, I don't go to a gym in layperson terms because I'm too much there just to pay bills.

My apartment complex has a gym. I used it once. I mainly get my exorcise by walking. I try and walk two miles a day, but I've been home in Boynton for a week and haven't been doing much of anything. The FSU campus is absolutely awesome to walk through.

Planet Fitness because I'm poor and can't afford a better and closer gym to where I live.

Though I'm pretty bad at consistently going.

World Gym is a pretty good balance between price and quality.

The municipal garbage bag league that uses my gym left a total of 258 pounds unracked when I closed today.

Going to the cheapest one in my area, part of a Dutch chain.

Here I go to a Council gym (which is actually really quite good; a bit small but a private one has opened up and taken lots of traffic so its quieter now), when I was in Brussels I went to Basic Fit which was... what you'd expect really: it was the cheapest option (its a chain that seems to cover the Benelux countries and France, although there are a lot more in Belgium than in the others I believe).

Last option (normal). We should permaban every single gymgoer. It's a more important priority than banning CC imo. DavidB can stay though, we need Dutch posters.

Going to a gym is a waste of money around here.

I go out into actual nature, into the local woods and wilderness where you look for a tree to make some pull-ups.

My school but our gym is pretty crappy for all the money my parents spend on tuition. Thankfully we are opening a new sports complex in September with an indoor track, pool and a good weight room. So I can Crossfit there instead of the crappy gym.
