Just wild guessing: What will happen first? The United States get a female president or vice president?

I guess we'll end up with a woman president first. Just a feeling. We also had black president before vice president.

Vice president. US VP is a position comparable to European heads of state until recently. People are simply picked by a small coterie of insiders to fill the role, not forced to compete in competitive elections. Therefore, many of the sexist neuroses of our culture are simply bypassed. No wonder the first major party VP nominee was in 1984 --eons ago.

Of the two Democratic frontrunners in 2020 (Booker and Warren), it seems like both of them would prefer to pick a male Midwesterner as VP.

In Booker's case, wouldn't it be better to double down on Romney-Clinton and Stayed Home in 2012-Clinton voters and make Cortez Masto VP?

Anyway, I'm going with President.  Note that we also had Catholic and Mormon nominees before having VP's, and Biden came 48 years after JFK and 80 years after Al Smith
