This happened behind a half closed door, so I didn't see it all, but here's what it looked like from the outside -

Ben walked into a room where a local tv crew was set up for an interview with Gianforte

All of a sudden I heard a giant crash and saw Ben's feet fly in the air as he hit the floor

Heard very angry yelling (as did all the volunteers in the room) - sounded like Gianforte

I'm sure the local Republicans will love his alpha-male takedown of the bespectacled loser from the MSM. The rest of us, meanwhile...

Most of the votes have already been cast. Probably too late to change the result unless Quist was already very, very close. On the other hand, Gianforte will almost certainly have to not take the seat and lead to another a special election if he wins.

Edit: If he is actually arrested. Unclear how real that tweet is.

Wow. Gianforte is crazy. Before this special election, he was almost governor of Montana last year in 2016. He lost by 4 points.

Unfortunately, even if Quist wins now it'll be chalked up to this event and not support for Sanders' brand of politics. If Gianforte still wins it'll be taken as proof that states like Montana are ironclad R in the Trump era. Hence, the Republicans just won the election.

yup didn't even stop Trump. Not gonna say Gianaforte will benefit but I don't see Republican voters staying home tomorrow because of this.
