I'd certainly hope so, unless it were some sort of wildly different circumstances (e.g. assaulting a terrorist in the act).

This.

Either I'd change my vote or I wouldn't vote for that office.

A Democrat would and most Indies would.

But the modern Republican ? Not. Makes them more likely to vote for their candidate, especially if that candidate beats up a filthy librul fake-news reporter. Grab'em by the PUSSY !

Plus, the good thing for Gianforte is that 2/3 of the vote is already in ...

However, you must remember that the early vote is likely to be Democrat to some degree, as early vote always is.

Would you change your vote to the GOP candidate even if you don't agree with clowns like Gianforte or Trump? If this was Hillary vs Trump (say only 2 candidates) & Hillary assaulted someone, will Democrats change their vote to Trump? Naah - It depends on where the candidates stand - In Montana you have L vs D vs R (so Democrats have literally nowhere to go)!

But it is better to stay home or vote Independent/3rd party (if there is a decent 3rd party) rather than for people who assault reporters. They have no right to go to win elections !

I wouldn't even want Trump to be assaulted, the only person whom I wouldn't mind being assaulted is Lyin' Ted !

I'd probably vote Green Party/liberal 3rd party choice then.

Unless the Republican running was horrifying.

Yes, I would probably go Green, Libertarian, or leave it blank depending on the circumstances.

Half the forum would cop out and choose that then. The data is more meaningful if you leave it out.

I mean it's a political forum poll, I don't think meaningful data can be gleaned from it at all

I considered 'maybe' but it seemed like a cop-out. Obviously the questions could be more specific, but it's just a forum poll Tongue

I'd probably vote third party or skip voting for that office. Depends on the candidates.

Yes. Assuming my candidate is a Democrat, if the Republican isn't terrible I'd go for him. Otherwise, maybe some other third party, a write-in if possible, or just skipping the vote.

Depends on the situation, and how strongly I felt like that candidate was the superior choice.

I'm a Democrat, and would not vote for a Democratic candidate who assaulted someone. I would not switch my vote to the Republican candidate, but instead would vote for the Green nominee, an independent candidate, or write someone in.

Obviously, content is key.  So, in the case of Montana, I would either vote for Wicks or not vote at all.

I condemn the act, but I would have still voted for Gianforte here, given that the other choice supports 3000 murders per day.  I can't think of a race in recent memory where I would have voted for a Democrat (I pretty much consider the Democratic Party a domestic terrorist group for supporting abortion).
