While walking with the NATO leaders during his visit to the alliance's headquarters Thursday, President Donald Trump pushed aside Dusko Markovic, the prime minister of Montenegro, as he moved to the front of a group of the leaders.

----------------------------------------------------

What would compel trump to do this ?
It looks obvious that he rudely pushed the prime minister, and then there was some kind of hand/arm sword fight also going on between the two (when watching the video, look carefully at the area in between the two of them, near the bottom of the screen).

Everyone should watch the video first. His face coils up when he shoves him then directly after he fixes his suit jacket like he's top dog.

So alpha. Prime minister is lucky he didn't get Gianforte'd by President two scoops.

Argh. I simply despise this "alpha dog, manly" mentality. Disgusting.

You guys will attack him over anything won't you? Creepily leering at women (ironically, a Trump trait) is ok for Democrats I guess. After all, your last nominee has built her career lashing out at rape victims.

Donald Trump tries so aggressively to be polite that I'm not sure what his actual intent is.

You'll defend him for anything.. but generally you'll start with false equivalency and whataboutery which just makes you look deluded.

By the way.. Trump looks so bitchy right there when he pushes him aside.  He's a primadonna.

If Obama leered at women all the time, yes, it'd be a huge problem in his temprament. But Trump... it's clear that he's trying to prove himself an 'alpha male'. I attack him over this not because of partisanship, but because of my opinion that people who try to project strength in that way are absolutely pathetic and terrible.

Don't attack Sarkozy! Obama's hot!

In all seriousness, the Prime Minister himself doesn't look offended. That wasn't a shove. That was a tap saying "Excuse me."

It looked more than a tap, and like the PM thought he was joking at first and then realized he wasn't.

Someone post the gif.

After seeing the video quite a couple of times I still don't know whether I find this behavior repulsive or love it.

I also read that Trump basically arm-wrestled (=hand shake) with Macron. And Macron won.

I recall this one. Complete BS, of course.

Video:

It's informative how videos of Trump typically make him look worse than stills do.

Typical for ChairmanSanchez trying to make something out of nothing.
Besides, if Obama was guilty at "looking," that would be negligible compared to what trump did here.

At this point, your reflexive defenses of Trump's nonsense is simply too pathetic to even get bothered by anymore.

The man just wanted to be the center of attention so badly he was willing to shove aside the leader of another country to get to the front of the group. His sense of entitlement and disregard for others (not to mention decorum, the law, common sense) shouldn't even be surprising to anyone anymore, yet he somehow keeps making himself look worse every day.

I have said this before ..... it's very embarrassing.
Many in the world continue to see us as an example, but with this narcissistic orange-haired clown as our leader, we, as in all Americans, look like fools.
This is especially true when our president visits other countries, as the news written and displayed in those nations, put major emphasis on anything and everything related to the trip.
I can just imagine the laughter and disgust they see in trump's attitude (and thus in all of us here).
How difficult can it be for this supposed businessman to act not only like an adult, but professional ?

So impressive, like a walrus establishing his status over the herd (or whatever the collective noun for walruses is ).

The PM was grinning for at least ten seconds.

Update:

I found further video on this if anyone is interested.

1.) The first link below, is a focus group of trump supporters who are interviewed about the "shove" from trump on the prime minister. You wont believe your ears on their support of this clownish act !
2.) The second link is CNN's Jeanne Moos comical take on the behavior of the orange one.
