No objection.

But yes, I find the tipped minimum wage to be pointless and that if often leaves tipped workers behind. Employers are supposed to make up the difference, but it doesn't always happen. Then too many tipped workers fall under the poverty line as a result.

All workers deserve a lot better and I believe that the elimination of the tipped minimum wage is a good start.

I am now the designated House Sponsor for this.

Basically I just direct people to view the President's statements on this, regarding the potential for discrimination and such regarding workers in this industry via the tipped rate. I am also aware that there are those who disagree with said point and I encourage them offer their opinions on the matter so that we may have an informed discussion.

Yeah I'm not a fan of this (I don't like tipping in general--it's just a layer of stupid awkwardness), but I'm totally open to any other viewpoints.
