This has to do with Haitian refugees IIRC. There was something about that last week. I'm all for taking in Haitian refugees. We can easily support them if we end archaic wet foot-dry foot policies that give Cubans a free pass to illegally immigrate here.

You'd be surprised how little influence Cubans have in Florida outside of Miami. They swing the state in presidential elections, yet in state politics they're largely nullified by North Florida.
