In 2014, during the Maryland Governor's Race, I read Facebook comments from all of Maryland's Local News outlets days leading up and on the day of the Election. Polls were suggesting that Anthony Brown was leading, but from what I saw from a lot of comments it seemed people wanted Hogan. On Election Night, Hogan ended up winning a surprise victory. Is it possible to predict the winner of the Governor's Race doing that again?

Well, this is methodologically dubious to say the least.

No, commenters on news stories tend to be heavily Republican, every if the newspaper itself isn't.
