Well-meaning but didn't accomplish very much and didn't seem on track to accomplish very much either before his death. The utter failure of Bay of Pigs and subsequent decades of Cuban repression are his fault, to a pretty great extent. Still voted FF (R ), but he was by no means a great or even above-average President; merely a well-intentioned one.
