PiT for Senate: the Re-election (Victory Speech)

     I am running for re-election. In my most recent term as Senator, my continued work for the people of the South and for the Republic of Atlasia as a whole has been rewarded with my election to the office of President Pro Tempore. The Senate has been moving at a brisk pace under my leadership, and when it came time for me to stand for re-election to the position of PPT I earned the overwhelming support of the Senate.

     Working with my fellow Senators to craft better bills and serve my constituents is something that I enjoy doing, and I ask the people to believe in me and send me back to represent this great region for another four months. Whatever the bill before us, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to work across the aisle and work to guide the development of bills to emphasize those values of fiscal responsibility and individual freedoms that are so important to the people of the South.

I'd like to congratulate Senator PiT on his re-election and offer an extremely belated endorsement.

Senator PiT has done good work in Washington to the benefit of all Atlasian citizens, and I greatly look forward to him continuing the pursuit of liberty and justice for all.

     I would like to thank everyone who supported me. I consider my re-election, and my victory by a comfortable margin to boot, to be a vindication of the work I have done keeping the Senate active as its PPT and representing the people of the South as their Senator. What's more, I would like to thank Governor NeverAgain for contesting this election.

     I look forward to serving you all for another four months. Hopefully we can make this coming term another great one. As our amendment to ban the draft failed in the House, I have prepared a compromise amendment that I expect will be able to curtail the possibility of a draft while leaving the door open just enough to gain critical support. I will be introducing this amendment in the coming days, so please look out for it.
