My personal calculations based on the 2016 election results indicate that it would take a 1920 or 1924 PV margin in order to make WY flip to D, while it would take only take a 1872 PV margin to make UT flip to D.

Utah, because it only requires Trump making one group (Mormons) mad.

Seeing how it trended in 2016, Utah is more likely to flip Democratic. Wyoming is the most Republican state in the country, and even in a Democratic landslide it would stay Republican.

Utah: the GOP is way more likely to lose Mormons than resource extractors.

Utah. This isn't 1936, when FDR swept most of the country. Basically the GOP candidate would have to be caught murdering people on live TV if the Dems have any chance at winning Wyoming ever again.

However, a conservative independent, like McMullin, would have to successfully split the conservative vote if the Dems win Utah again.
