I can't tell if I feel happier for Corbyn supporters (seriously guys what a coup!) or sadder for May.

Labour majority of 187 in Canterbury

LABOUR GAIN CANTERBURY

First time since 1918!

Ever, actually. The constituency was created in 1918 but in its previous boundaries was held by Tories since 1874.

"A period of stability,"

She's ing staying on.

No chance of that happening. She'll be kicked out by her bench. They are mad about her. Osborne must be laughing so hard right now.

Northern Ireland is going to dick this whole thing up for Labour with the Sinn Fein members not showing up and the DUP/UUP potentially working with the Tories.

These swings in London are amazing.

More to come from there.... haven't had a chance to chat with my Sister whose been living in Finsbury for quite a few years, but the Lib Dem collapse throughout London will disproportionately benefit a Left-Wing Labour candidate among younger voters in the Inner Boroughs....

Well, a sad day for NI politics--SDLP totally wiped out.  Not a single MP since...they first stood for seats, if I'm not mistaken?

More help to the Tories, and absurd to have no Nationalists represented in Westminster.

In his district, a man(?) named "Mr Fishfinger" got about 0.6%

Farron only won by about 800 votes.

No, it is really going to be Scotland's fault.

How the hell do you feel sad for May? She did this all to herself and is not at all likable because of her own doing.
I feel sad for anyone who finks up this badly. It's hard not too Tongue

Obviously the next government (in the immediate term) is going to be Tory, but there are legitimate questions about how stable it'll be.

We're now at:

Labour 173
Conservative 161
SNP 25
DUP 9
LD 6
SF 4
Plaid Cymru 3
IND 1

If conservatives are actually going to have a lead of 50ish, they need to take the lead soon.

She got greedy and moved in to kill the main opposition. No sympathy.

Take that with a grain of salt, but John McDonnell says Boris will formally launch his leadership bid as early as tonight.
