Looks like first-past-the-post finally got Northern Ireland - it's now a two-party system.

Sinn Fein is hardly a party at all since they (probably) won't take the oath, but yeah.

Sorry to ask, but why are people so focused on Priti Patel of all people? You'd think there's at least a dozen more credible leadership contenders.

I'd assume more moderate and for a soft brexit.

Popular vote:

LAB 9,409,613 - 41.2%
CON 9,350,002    - 40.9%

Corbyn getting Fairfax'd soon?

This doesn't roll off the tongue very well. You should try something else.

80 away currently from a Lab/SNP/LD coalition government. Could possibly make it if others are willing to go in as well.

Lot of seats still out are safe Tory ones. 43-40 for the Tories sounds a realistic final result to me.

If the projections are correct Lab/SNP/LD would have less seats then the Tories.

Lib Dems said they're not willing to go into coalition with anyone and given how that backfired in 2010, I think there is reason to believe them.

NI looks like it will end with 10 DUP, 7 SF and the one Independent. She's a unionist IIRC, but would she prop up a Con government ?
