Reports on the potential Tory landslide were held there. It's very Leave.

With the decline of SDLP, I wonder whether Labour will rethink on standing candidates in NI.

Alliance actually LOST votes in Belfast E.?!

I know the 3rd parties have collapsed there, but I didn't expect them, to drop by 6%.

With 7 seats for Sinn Fein, a majority is 322. That means the magic number for Conservatives is 312, with which they can form a government with the DUP.

What kind of compromises will DUP demand?
They are uberconservative socially...probably a more conservative social policy, a hardline unionist (maybe a DUP member?) as Northern Ireland Secretary.

A good deal of money for roads in NI was the joke on the BBC.

So far, the Tories have lost 10 seats, which would put them at 320 seats (not counting Bercow, the Speaker). If they lose 9 more seats, then things get really fun.

I'm betting that May is toast. Good riddance, you authoritarian hag. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. She might not even last a year as PM.

I guess a good parallel is the AUS 2016 election, didn't the PM there go an election there looking to expand his majority only to see it greatly reduced and in a much weaker position?

Ceredigion, currently home to the last Welsh Lib Dem, is on its 4th recount. Gonna end up being a tight result.

Cons could form coalition with Lib Dems again, but I doubt the Lib Dems would want to after their campaign...

Unbelievable

Donald Trump that joked about cheating on his wive and walked in on teenage girls won the election for the conservatives. Really weird bed follows.

Survation did it again just like 2015 when they got it right in their unpublished poll.

This is probably the best case scenario for Labour a weakened Tory Gov't presiding over tough Brexit and more austerity cuts. Setting the party up for an outright majority in the next GE.

To me, the story of tonight is epitomized in seats like Lincoln, Ipswich and Peterborough.

Forgive my dumb questions, but is a Northern Ireland party propping up an otherwise minority government in a hung parliament something that's ever happened before?

Now at:

Conservative 250
Labour 230
SNP 33
LD 10
DUP 10
SF 7
Plaid Cymru 3
IND 1

Assuming SF doesn't take their seats, the total size of parliament is 643, thus the finish line is 322. If SF does take their seats, the finish line is 326.
