Polls close in an hour and Sunderland South will probably declare close to 11 pm their time.
Is sunderland south an important one or just a place with a late closing time

I believe I read awhile ago that some Labour MPs would create a new party or something if Corbyn stays on after loss. Does that still hold?

Senior Conservatives apparently not believing the exit poll at all...
Seems like that happens every time a party underperforms Smiley

SNP guy on BBC is trying to keep SNP looking powerful. He said their only goal was to win Scotland.

SNP is probably in so much pain now.

Can someone, using the exit polls, say if any coalition would work?

Specifically, CON-led and "Progressive Alliance"

Anything from Nuttall's constituency yet? I just want to see if he is doing not poorly or worse than normal?

I will say that the results are showing the exit poll could be off. As of now, it looks like that would only be a little, but let's wait and see

The NYTimes results map is great, but it would be perfect if they showed the vote totals as well.

I think BBC has their total screwed up. It should be 10 LAB, 6 CON

Farage says he will have absolutely no choice but to reenter politics if Corbyn wins.

Probably a stupid question, but why exactly is there such a large swing to CON in Scotland? Labour is underperforming in many SNP-held seats, it seems.

I am certainly no expert on this, so someone who actually knows something about Scottish politics can correct me if I am wrong... But I think maybe a lot of the usual CON voters in Scotland (what few there are) went SNP last time in 2015, and now have switched back.
What about Wales? What's going on there?

This seems to be like the past US election:

Republicans (Trump) started to move towards more Rust Belt-type regions in the North, ceding support in the South (Arizona, Georgia, and Texas).

Could Ruth Davidson become Conservative Leader? or am I thoroughly misunderstanding British politics...
She's more situated to staying as an MSP and leader of Scottish Conservatives.

I guess this means no second independence referendum?
I'd say the ONLY way it happens is if Labour creates a minority govt with it and promises a second referendum

but that's far-fetched, so no

SNP didnt really underperform. Sturgeon has run into difficulties rallying support for another referendum and the party was expected to lose seats.
Oh. Never mind then.  I personally didn't think they would lose that much.
