So a user named 'Masterphil' joined #SouthernChat on mibbit on the glorious day of May 27th, 2017, and in a brief conversation with the other users of the chat, mostly about how he was previously banned from ~20 chat rooms before he stumbled into #SC, I received the first of two PMs, no doubt with more to come:

Well, if he was banned from 20 chatrooms before, he's probably not a sock from here.  So that's a plus.

Difficult to vote about a poster who is not *yet* outed as a current or previous member of the Forum, where at least those us who aren't involved in the Uncivil Wars going on throughout the rest of the Blogosphere, and inevitable spillover into the "Non-Aligned" Community called Atlas.

Initially voted HP mainly on the basis of Virginia's brief screen shots from another chatboard, (Which sound not only a bit creepy, but beyond that tend to indicate an extremely narcissistic and egotistical personality archetype), even if we divorce the potentially sexualized nature of the comments and look solely at the attempted power dynamics involved within this individual's statements.

So very limited data set to work on, but I confess that as a long time Doctor Who fan, it did remind me of a classic recurring villain from the series called "The Master", who first appeared on our screens in 1971, as well as within the New Series....

When I first joined the Forum about 10 Years ago, he was one of many solid and knowledgeable Pub posters on Atlas.

Although we agreed to disagree about 1/4 posts, seemed like a decent dude who could present arguments in a coherent fashion, contrary in many cases, to my personal core political beliefs.

I went through a four year posting hiatus because of work related relocations elsewhere, so wasn't spending much time here at all for a few years.

If in fact that is the case, I'm really sorry to hear that is is trolling a well respected and popular member of Atlas in other Forums.

Whatever the reality and the case may be, I'm still not a big fan of "Civil War" spillovers from other Forums unto Atlas.

So was Keystone Phil banned or did he just quit?

If the former, obviously a link exists, if the latter (Knowing Phil) he probably created a thread on that very topic.
