I doubt it. The LBJ/Connally Democrats preferred Humphrey over RFK, and Humphrey just barely won Texas in that year’s general election.

No, but he'd carry California, maybe even the entire Pacific Coast, since Humphrey only barely lost Alaska.

HHH won Texas taks to LBJ. RFK would have lose most white rural tean HHH voters to Nixon or Wallace.

From what know about LBJ he was a party man first and foremost. I could easily see him putting aside his hatred of RFK and campaigning for him just as he did for Humphrey. It's just a question of if Texans would have listened. And considering that Humphrey was a better fit for the state and still barely won it, I do think Nixon would have won Texas in this sencerio. I just don't think that would be out of LBJ not doing everything he could for RFK to win.
