Iceland.  Either would be good though.

The one that's not quite inhumanely freezing cold (although both are way too cold).

Just going by my gut, Iceland.

While the Emerald Isle seems like a nice place, it can't beat the scenery of the Land of Ice and Fire.

Ireland. Gaelic football, hurling, racing, rugby, and the greatest underdog cricket team in the world. What else could you want from life? Guinness and Tyrconnell are just bonuses.

Donegal accents are also the most attractive English accents in the world. Smiley

Would need to vote Ireland for multiple reasons, but the climate is definitely a major factor, as an individual who is used to dealing with with massive amounts of Rain 9 months out of the year can definitely handle that better than the Cold of the North Atlantic....

Granted Iceland is famous for their hot springs, not to mention the huge amount of renewable energy coming from Geothermal, but still not enough to entice me without a massive paycheck involved.

No disrespect to any of our Icelandic members of Atlas, and I know there must be a few lurking out there but no names that spring immediately to mind.

They built a nice Radisson Blu up there a few years ago. Great place to redeem points if you collect them.

I wouldn't hundred percent rule it out, but given some of the more authentic or rustic plate options to stay, I'm not sure to be first on my list. Thanks for the tip though. :-) the one place the wife and I really want to stay is a small boat hotel that has its own dining room and Bar in about half a dozen cabins. It remains chained up ice locked for several months of the year. It's usually stayed at as an overnight Waypoint for several of the dog sledding trips.

Tough choice for me.

Went with my Nordic roots - Iceland.  Also, Iceland has cool stuff like this.

Both would probably be fantastic. Better than the horrid summers here, at least.

Ireland is cool too, but lacks snow and mountains.

Ireland. Iceland would be too cold and too boring for my taste. Living in Dublin would be okay.

I'd rather live in a Johannesburg township than Ireland.
