Saudi Arabia has alien permanent residents? They don't even have tourist visas. Citizens of other GCC countries who are married to Saudi citizens? Maybe veteran (20+ year) executives of Aramco?

(I only mention the latter because I have a friend whose father is the highest-ranking foreigner at Aramco and he considers Dammam to be his home town)

Well I'd be killed in both of them so it doesn't really matter.

Iran.

Besides the relatively better political and human rights situation versus SA, Iran has a better long-term economic outlook (as it has actual talent and non-petroleum natural resources).

Plus, I have some Persian friends (as opposed to 0 Saudi Arabian ones) so I have some familiarity with Iranian culture. And Persian/Iranian history is so interesting! I sincerely wish to visit the country and see its sights at some point in my life.
