I'm done arguing and posting here.  By the logic of some here: the Aurora shooter only did it because of Batman, and school shootings are only because adults just don't understand; crazy people with guns don't exist and crazy people don't hurt people simply because they are crazy.

And by the way, just because someone is not diagnosed as clinically insane does not make them any less crazy if they decide to kill others just for the heck of it.  If this is just a political act, then you're saying that anyone with a differing political view (you, me, everyone here right now) is capable of doing the exact same thing should the mood strike us.  I, for one, am not capable of doing that no matter how much I may disagree with someone's politics.

Yea, politics played into this only insomuch as it is the occupation of the victims.  But if it weren't, this guy would've found other victims to terrorize.

Um, if someone is planning on shooting up defenseless people, then yea I'd say there's some mental health issues going on there.

Your basis for this being? The mentally ill are far less likely to commit violent crimes than the public as a whole, bringing up mental illness in this context with no evidence does nothing but contribute to an extremely dangerous stigma against the mentally ill.
