Depending on the environment come primary time, 'ole "Chemtrail" Kelli could conceivably pull it out. It's hard to say. Arizona seems to be becoming more sane as time passes but you never know.

I don't know how the state Republicans view her, but most Dems I know think she's a laughing stock and we get a kick out of her antics. However, she has a very hands-off attitude when it come to abortion (she's a trained OD) so that could definitely sink her chances.

Yes - she pulled in almost 40% against McCain and held him to just barely above 50% of the vote. If there was nobody else in the primary (there were two other candidates who got about 9% collectively) it could have been a nailbiter. Against Flake, who is much less known nationally and unpopular with the grassroots, her base could be enough to put her over the finish line.

I wonder how Ward thinks Flake's days in the Senate are "numbered?" Is she talking about her having a real opportunity to successfully challenge him or him losing to a Dem in the general election?

I don't think it's necessarily a good strategy for Ward if she keeps on shoving it down to the voters that Flake doesn't support Trump as Arizona did swing against him by a good margin. The state, overall, has been trending left for a good while now anyway. Sure, it might benefit her that many of the hardcore Trump supporters may come out strong for her and give her the primary victory, but would it do well against a strong Democrat?

Arizona is definitely a state to watch next year though.

It's mostly because I know lots of people like her in my past in RL, and some in present, and I dislike them a lot, so I feel like this race in Georgia's 6th is personal.
