It's generally considered good form to start these threads with some discussion of your own. After all, if you can't be bothered to do so, why should anyone else?
Well, I don't know much about Sadat (I was 15 when he was assassinated) but I recall him being somewhat of a peacemaker (of course, the same can be said about President Jimmy Carter). Today, Coptic Christians are being heavily persecuted. Would extremists have less of a foothold in the country had Sadat survived?

He remains a hated dictator until he is successfully assassinated.
Thank you for the insight. Really, I have no idea how I somehow got the idea he was a peacemaker.
