I enjoyed being in Norfolk, VA.

But out of the list, I went with Durham, NC.

I haven't been to any of these, but it warms my heart that the gaping hellmouths known as Eugene OR and Pullman WA were omitted

C'mon, Pullman isn't that bad.

It's pretty bad, but I'll admit To my biases Wink

Moscow ID is worse, I'll allow

I selected Cambridge, MA (where I lived for 4 years); Ann Arbor, MI (2 counties away from home); Berkeley, CA (with reservations: recently some of its nearby residents seem-- how do I say this?-- untrue to this town's legacy of free speech); and Ithaca, NY (where I've never been, but I love Cornell).

I would add East Lansing, MI round out the top 5.

Need I mention that I did not select Columbus, OH?
