I don't hold her work for the CoC too much against her, as I think she can represent those interests and still assume duties in the DoJ with integrity, but it does introduce some doubt. She is definitely more of a partisan, and not the ideal person to be supervising the special counsel investigation, as she would be the one to be signing off on resource allocation and possibly indictments down the line.

I suppose the question is, does she want to give away her career and ruin her reputation for Donald Trump, in the event she is pressured to end or restrict the investigation? Because if she becomes the person who fires Mueller, or impedes the investigation, that could ruin her. I'd have to think she would care more about her future prospects then doing something like that, which probably won't save Trump anyway.

I hate to apply the old witches' trial, but with Trump, the more trustworthy they are, the sooner they'll be fired.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders would be a good choice.

I remember watching her confirmation hearings and thinking that she should be Attorney General.

With the notable exception of Michael Flynn.

I don't feel comfortable with any woman replacing Rosenstein, but Sarah Huckabee Sanders might be an exception.

Good suggestion.

Unsure, I'd hope so, but I'm not sure. Wouldn't say "probably not," but not "yes."

... Any woman? But a man's okay?

Sarah Huckabee Sanders isn't a lawyer for the record. Roslynn Mauskopf would be my top choice.

This isn't going to happen, so the question is a moot hypothetical or something. Now watch it all happen next week. That is just how good my predictions are these days. That is what happens when Trump is at the helm, spinning the wheel wildly like a drunken narcissistic sailor who can't hold his liquor. Sad
