I believe one county in GA-06 extended voting hours.

Whoever wins, will run again in 2018. I can see a Handel-Ossoff rematch in 2018.

Northern Fulton County looks like a hardcore Republican stronghold.

Parnell will lose, but South Carolina Democrats may get a bright spot.

Take it easy, people. 2018, 2020, and 2022 are a long way from now.

The more I see the how these olds vote, the less I care about preserving Medicare.

Call me a bad person because of it - I already know.

Why? Take it easy. For senior voters, taxes and jobs are also important. Not all seniors are retired. Some work.

I mean it's not disastrous in the sense that GOP will win the seats tonight, but like. Idk I'd think it were pretty disastrous if the GOP came within 2 points of winning Rep. Grace Meng's seat for example.

It's possible one day since Meng's seat has lots of white ethnics.

Jon Ossoff can run again in 2018 or 2020.

Karen Handel can run again in 2018 or 2020.

We'll see.

Stephen Lynch or Mike Capuano, or Cheri Bustos would be good House Democratic Leaders. When Richard Gephardt knew that he had to leave the Democratic stage in 2002, he did, but ran for president foolishly in 2004 (he would have been a good VP for Kerry).

Pelosi may have to step down in 2018, or 2020. But I can see her still there by 2022. She is a tough woman, but she should step aside. Steny Hoyer and Jim Clyburn as well.

If Democrats think they're going to be taking the House in 2018, this is a district they'll likely need to win.  This is supposed to be their brand new "winning coalition" of educated whites.  Epic fail.

Democrats could win VA-10, Barbara Comstock's district.

Notice how Schumer never comes up in GOP ad or McConnell in D ads they both have low name ID generate less intensity from partisans. Pelosi has been around since 2004 for most Americans.

McConnell is not as partisan as Trent Lott was.

People get the government they deserve, period.

I like Ossoff's style. Moderate Democrat. Win or lose, he'll be a star for Georgia Democrats. Barack Obama lost to Bobby Rush in IL-1 2000 Democratic primary.

It's time for Democrats to embrace GOP-style tactics of personal destruction.

Yeah, because the Clinton campaign totally didn't try this strategy in 2016?

Anyway,

Karen Handel (Republican)    53.4%   109,433
Jon Ossoff (Democratic)    46.6%   95,664

Listen. Both parties play nasty, dirty politics. It's called politics. Even some swing voters are drawn to negative politics.

Negative politics can lower turnout and grow voter apathy, because policy isn't being discussed, and it could increase it because people like innuendo. It's 50-50.

Both sides still need centrist voters. Not everyone is partisan.

Not all suburbanites think the same. Democrats should try to appeal to everyone, same as the GOP. Centrist voters are somewhat suburban. It depends on the state and the environment of the state and country.

A Jeremy Corbyn type can't win in a suburban area unless if they are rich socialists. The Democratic Party brand and image right now is just not good. People see the party as "snowflake", "SJW", etc.

Jon Ossoff still has a political future. There is something called "learning". He'll learn from this and will run again in 2018 and 2020.
