Dems are ina dilemia.  Do they risk Dean's bolt fromt eh party or do they stop him.

The dems have 5-6 centrist candidates and that is there problem as they are splitting there support while Dean is essentially the only real liberal ( that is a contender).

Dean would get more than 5% I would think as a 3rd party and may even finish 2d Ie Teddy Roosevelt.  i didn't think this was too realistic when George Will wrote about it a week ago, but now with Dean threatening it, it looks like blackmail.

Imagine a race with Bush, Dean, Nader and say Clark.  Whoa boy.

Because he just hinted at it strongly and publicly.

Yessss...but Dean WON'T run as an independent if he fails to get the nomination and Nader is a spent force...
Of course he won't run as a independent.  I don't see why some people think he will.

Best part is that Dean WILL be the nominee!

DarthKosh, do you have a paypal account?

So according to you i can not have an opinion without betting money?
I think you don't feel real strongly about it if you don't bet money.

Congrats fellow God.

But as one of my military instructors said , "Lead dog don't smell no butt"

yeah, why didn't they have a last monday night game anyway?  b/c of bowl game?
They had one last year, and it was totally meaningless.  Plus, they don't want a team playing on monday that would have to play on Saturday on Wild-card weekend.

From your new YABB god!  I'm an athiest, but it's still cool...

well actually it is helpful to be ona  couple of boards, as I just posted in House races of congressional- you can find out interesting facts and spread them.

Also I was at those before here and so I found this board through one of those boards.

Some people just don't want to say its over for Gore  I guess Smiley

I do think Gore would have been a better candidate fo rthe Dems than any of the 9 mondales they have.

Dean has all the liberal and the moderates are split--so it will either be Dean or a convention vote, either scenario is bad for the dems.  Can you imagine not having your nominee till July and then the olympics hit and then GOp has its convention in Sept, shortens the calendar considerably in the incumbant President's favor.
