Jeb's money came from old neocon Billionaires.

Ossoff's came from young liberals hoping to stop Trump.

I think the money mattered more to the young liberals then the Billionaires.

Bush, and by a lot. He was doomed from the start, while Ossoff had a chance and blew it.

A "waste of money" that paid people's salaries and put money into the economy?

If this is seriously how Dems are spinning the YUGE spending on GA-6 only to lose, they have a lot to learn as a party.

Ossoff--he was never going to win. At least with Jeb there was always that outside chance he'd be able to pull a McCain 2008 and come back from near bottom, slim as the chance was.

Jeb!

Ossoff may have gotten the same rough result, but said result is still really dang close. If all close Dem races are losses, than I s'pose Doug Applegate never should've run either.

And Bernie's primary run was a YUGE waste too by the same logic.

And just like Bernie, pretty much all of it came from a bunch of people donating $30 or so. People have that same amount into far far less productive causes.

Whereas Jeb! was propped up by billionares just throwing that money away.

Ossoff--he was never going to win. At least with Jeb there was always that outside chance he'd be able to pull a McCain 2008 and come back from near bottom, slim as the chance was.

...Uh,no. Trump assassinated him thoroughly.  Also, McCain '08 didn'tt really have a Trump-esque figure to shake things up, and no X+Y+9/11 don't count!

Ossoff had a good chance, and he did good....but he didn't do great

Democrats have just been desperate for a major win and Georgia 6th looked like a viable target in that it barely went for Trump after going for Romney but around 20 points in 2012.

Democrats really wanted to win control of the house through the back of sunbelt suburbs.

I think this shows we are not there yet and for 2018 targeting Midwestern and Western seats will provide a lot more success. I am convinced that we could have won Kansas-04 with some investment.

Now in a decade we would be having a very different discussion. I am not a huge fan #demographicsaredestiny arguments but the demographics of Georgia would be too much for Republicans to ignore next decade and they will have problems to say the least. Uncontroversial GOP incumbents may be able to win enough minority voters to get re-elected but if current demographic voting patterns remain it would be a ticking time bomb in the late 2020s or early 2030s for the Georgia GOP.

It still is quite striking how much more elastic Kansas-04 was compared to Georgia-06.

This. Jeb's donations would have otherwise been spent on other s**t old neocons spend money on, which are all terrible.

Ossoff forced his opponent to spend a ton of money and resources to get a three point win.

Jeb just lost.

Yes, Juan! is the obvious choice here. At least Ossoff did decently given the demographics of the district.
That meme that GA-06 was your typical suburban swing district needs to die.
