Yeah, most Europeans on the center-right support the Democrats. Mike88 is hardly an exception.
It's unfortunately caused by anti-GOP bias in the European media.

"we" just not like what the GOP is selling - you are over-estimating the power of the media by far.

I have a question about NEOS - are they actually a general Centrist party, that would sit in the middle of the spectrum, or are they like the FDP and actually rabid free-marketers in real life?

Their seems to be a tendancy in European politics for the self defined "Centre" to really be just a bunch of right wingers who don't mind immigrants and gays...

they are progressive, more or less, and campaign hard against the far-right.

just difficult to be liberal (both ways) in austria, especially in the year of kurz.
