Comey has been leaking all along anyway. Trump's bluff forced Comey to admit under oath that he had told Trump three times that he wasn't under investigation. You think he would have admitted that if he didn't think Trump might have tapes?

So now the witch hunt has moved on. Now its focused on whether Trump might have committed the terrible crime of obstructing a witch hunt

Comey actually said "Trump isn't under investigation...at the present time."

So the witch hunt goes on for months based on the bogus Russian dossier and the dodgy Crowdstrike report (anyone investigating why the DNC refused to allow the FBI to examine their servers) and after all those months finds nothing that would warrant  puttingTrump under investigation. Comey confirms this (in private despite being happy to leak all other kinds of tidbits).

So now the witchhunt is forced to move on to the question of whether Trump obstructed a witch hunt based on an interpretion of Trump's words to Coimey

There are multiple ongoing investigation areas of witchunting within the main witch hunt.

Yes I do. For all his faults, Comey at least knows truth. Trump only knows a "reality" where everything is about praising him.
Oh sure. Comey is a devoted and true public servant, not some kind of DC political hack. LMAO

So does this not make the tweet attempted intimidation of a witness?

Sure seems like that's what the crook-in-chief is confessing to.
Trump Says Comey’s ‘Story May Have Changed’ After Tape Threat

Bluffing a witness into telling the truth is a totally different thing from threatening a witness to say something. Trump hinted he might have a full record of what was actually said in the conversation. That could only be a seen as threat to a witness planning to commit perjury. If Comey was not planning to to commit perjury then it could hardly be intimidated or threatened by this bluff. So why do you think Trump's bluff was intimidating. Do you think Comey was planning to commit perjury, if not then what's threatening about what Trump said?

Of course whilst bluffing a witness into keeping his testimony honest because he doesn't want to get caught out in perjury cannot be seen as intimidation or obstruction of justice it could be seen as obstruction of a witch hunt. The outrage at this perfectly legitimate bluff makes it pretty clear that that's what the real charge against Trump is.

A witch hunt has been launched with a predetermined verdict (I.e. that Trump should be impeached) just looking for a suitable charge to fit the verdict. If Trump makes any effort, no matter how legitimate or legal, to defend himself against bogus accusations then that means he's getting in the way of the witch hunt arriving at its predermined conclusion I.e. obstructing a witch hunt.

Notice that EnglishPete's favorite word is now "Witch Hunt."
The Fuhrer says it and his stormtroopers repeat it like a bunch of parrots.
Its a rhetorical device known as 'repetition'. Democrats and leftists have been known to use it as well.
