There is a difference between fining someone 100 dollars for vandalism and putting them in jail for decades and denying him medical care only to release him when he is basically dead for tearing down the poster propagandizing a thuggish, criminal regime with no legitimate claim to sovereignty beyond the iron boot of the Soviets and Red Chinese sixty years ago.

There is a reason that they treated him like that. I don't understand why people are unable to condemn the actions of North Korea while simultaneously knowing that you can still criticize the mindset among many Americans that one can do whatever they want, wherever they want overseas, and SEAL Team 6 will come rescue them if they get into trouble.

We basically know for a fact that NK's story was a lie now, and it's likely that Warmbier's only "crime" was being young and naive enough to think that going to NK was a good idea.

He was murdered by an enemy regime. Nothing else matters.
