Spelling.

I won't know whether to be pro or con until he takes a position vis-à-vis the subject I have in my signature line: if Chris gets elected President, when he can appoint one or more Supreme Court Justices, what quality will he look for in the people who chooses to appoint?

Listening to him speak is pretty boring... And his connection with gun control is probably too extreme for the average American. I can see the ads now.

Why is being from Connecticut an issue in a presidential election? As long as he's not too liberal and he's a strong candidate, he should be fine.

I agree. I hate this narrative that has been pushed by the right (and some on the left) that some states are "real America" and therefore that's where the candidates should stem from. It's absurd. There's white working class in New York City, too, for instance.

Oh I was just mostly joking about the Connecticut thing, though it is a boring state.

I think I'm one of the few who has also been impressive by Schatz lately (especially his senate speeches)... seems to be to have a Bill Clinton way of explaining complex issues.

Also- (for an alternative Connecticut possibility)   Jim Himes seems like he may come across more palatable to a wider range of ppl than Murphy (And Rhodes Scholar is always impressive to me)

I think his biggest strength would be on foreign policy. If there's any place where most people can agree the Trump administration has failed it's foreign policy. Chris Murphy could provide a nice contrast with the Trump administration in that regard.
