Pretty much this.

Forgive me if I'm biased, but most of what the media is reporting seems justified. Do I think they sometimes go over the top? Of course, but that's the unfortunate cost of having to compete for ratings. Trump is bringing most of the media scrutiny upon himself.

If by some chance Trump starts to pursue policies which are popular with the majority of the general public, the media will probably treat him nicer than it is currently doing. If he continues down his current path, I think the media will continue to treat him negatively overall.

If the economy is still doing good a year or two from now, he will deserve credit. Currently, I'm not seeing any reason to think he's made an impact.
